Spring H.O.P.E Food Drive 2017

Although one of the wealthiest regions in Canada, 12.6% of households in the Greater Toronto Area experienced food insecurity last year. That means that 905,970 people visited a food bank to ask for help.

Hollyburn Properties is extremely proud to participate in the Greater Toronto Apartment Association’s annual Spring H.O.P.E Food Drive, the largest door-to-door food drive in Canada. This initiative engages residents living in multi-family residential apartment buildings, and allows our sector a convenient and highly visible way to contribute to those in need in our communities. The proceeds from this event are distributed to a variety of local food banks, including the Daily Bread Food Bank.

On Wednesday, April 19th, 2017, event volunteers and our wonderful staff canvassed door-to-door for non-perishable food items at all 21 of Hollyburn’s rental apartment buildings in Toronto.

Our contributions help fill shelves at a time of year when donations are historically low. Thank you, once again, for giving so generously. Here are some fun pictures of our team in action!
